Effect of viral replication parameters on equilibrium virus load in the model with increased burst size in coinfected cells, expressed as different measures: free virus, the number of infected cells, and different subpopulation of infected cells. We plotted cells infected with 1, 10, 20, 30 40, 50 60, 70, 80, 90 viral copies, going from the top curve to the bottom curve. While the average number of viruses per cell has been reported to be around 3–4 in the context of HIV replication in tissues, cells infected with a significantly higher copy number have been reported to exist in HIV.
