The 3D imagines of the ancestral and current amino acid residues are represented in purple and cyanine, respectively. The ancestral amino acid residues are inferred by the DAMBE package and the ancestral state reconstruction (ASR) molecule on Datamonkey 2010 website for the Podocarpaceae ancestral node [28, 82]. The three domains are colour coded differently. Positively selected sites are indicated with lines, whereas the potential ones are with black dotted lines.
