Concerning the last region (values are in bold), the translations correspond either to the exact nucleotide sequence or to +/- 1 or two nucleotide(s) sequences according to the reading frame. For Drosophila and Wolbachia, the accession numbers are AF200838.1/AAF77368 and AE017196/AAS14036.1, respectively. The genetic codes are those of invertebrate mitochondria and of bacteria. The sequence of Drosophila simulans is preferred to that of D. melanogaster because the start codon is undetermined in the latter. Abbreviations (a.a.: amino acids).
