As in Additional File 3, we tallied genes that are involved in rearrangement steps of reversals (inversions), transpositions, fissions and fusions and belong to DS blocks 6, 7 and 8 (105 genes, 69 steps), DS block 6 (8 genes, 6 steps) and DS block 8 (60 genes, 37 steps).
